The Music School of the City of Wolfsburg maintains a close network of cooperation in the regional and national cultural scene. It can look back on many years of successful cooperation with a wide variety of cultural education institutions.
In June 2002, the Kontaktstelle Musik in Wolfsburg was founded with the cooperation of the music school. With this initiative, the Music School of the City of Wolfsburg would also like to promote the networking of local culture and act as a meeting point for music culture in Wolfsburg.

Friends and Sponsors of the Music School of the City of Wolfsburg e. V.
The association emerged from the "Musikschul-Förderverein Fallersleben e. V." on 01.01.2006 by changing its name and, by amending its statutes, became responsible for promoting the entire music school work of the Music School of the City of Wolfsburg. Thus the activities of the "Friends of the Music School of the City of Wolfsburg e. V.", which was formally dissolved, were merged with those of the "new" association.
The association has been recognized as a non-profit organization by the Gifhorn tax office for the promotion of national and professional education as well as student aid and is entitled to issue tax receipts for membership fees and donations.
The purpose of the association is the promotion of music education through financial, material and other support of the music school of the city of Wolfsburg.
It uses its funds increasingly for the
- Acquisition of instruments and teaching materials
- Financial support of music school projects such as music camps, ensemble events and trips as well as CD recordings
- Subsidizing continuing education events and other support measures for music students and teachers
The family membership fee of 20.00 Euros applies to the spouse as well as to all children living in the family up to the age of 26, provided they are in education. It is valid for one calendar year even when joining during the year.

State Association of Music Schools in Lower Saxony
The is a professional and supporting association of currently 79 music schools in Lower Saxony, which are members of the Association of German Music Schools (VdM). It strives for the cooperation of all forces active in the establishment, maintenance and promotion of music schools and thus contributes to the promotion and development of instrumental and vocal music making and music education.

The association, with its 16 state associations, is the union of the approximately 1,000 public music schools in Germany, in which a total of more than 1 million children, young people and adults are taught practical music-making by 35,000 specialist teachers.
