The pedagogical quality is guaranteed by the qualified teachers, who teach competently and with dedication, and who also have an impact on the city as musicians. The program ranges from Musikgarten to elementary education for 4 to 6 year olds to senior citizens. Specialized lessons, individually or in groups, are offered for almost all instruments. In about 20 orchestras, bands and ensembles, vocal as well as instrumental, like-minded people can get together, rehearse together and celebrate success on stage.

Situation of the music school In addition to the traditional core area of the music school, which comprises a total of about 1,400 students in almost all instruments, the classic elementary area has shifted to the area of after-school care. The "supervised students" in our cooperations are becoming increasingly important. Approximately 750 additional students are cared for by our teachers. The number of students is stable, but we want to work hard to maintain it.
