Name change

The name change of the child is always an official name change.

For naming:

The child's birth certificate, if the child was not born in Wolfsburg.

• Current negative certificate (if the mother has sole custody, this can be obtained from the Youth Welfare Office).
• current registration certificate of all parties involved: of child, mother and stepfather
• current birth certificate (not older than 6 months).

The change of name of the child is possible until the age of 18.

A change of name is only possible by prior appointment.
