General information
Corruption is the abuse of entrusted power for private gain or advantage.
Corruption is not a trivial offense, but a criminal offense.
For this reason, employees of the City of Wolfsburg may not accept rewards, gifts, commissions or other benefits in relation to their office or official duties. For example, the acceptance of cash, discounted admission tickets and benefits when shopping is not permitted.
As an exception to this prohibition, the acceptance of low-value and customary gifts and services is permitted.
Further details can be found in the service directive on the prevention of corruption (*PDF - opens in a new window).
Wolfsburg City Council sees itself as a modern, customer-oriented administration. This does not require any special recognition. Nevertheless, the employees of the City of Wolfsburg are also pleased to receive praise or thanks for a job well done. You will protect yourself and the employees of the City of Wolfsburg if you express your praise or thanks in words and refrain from giving gifts of any kind. -
