The vote for Sportswoman, Sportsman and Team of the Year 2025 has been completed. From December 19 to January 12, a total of 2,621 citizens took part in the online vote at wolfsburg.de/sportehrung.

Laura Burbulla from VfL Wolfsburg e. V. came out on top in the Sportswoman of the Year category with 47.1 percent of the votes. Second place went to Johanna Wedekind (WTC Wolfsburg e. V.) with 30 percent, followed by Sarah Ischt (VfL Wolfsburg e. V.) with 22.9 percent. Sportsman of the Year was Samil Türk from Amateur Kick-Box Club e.V. with 49.7 percent of the vote. Mika Noodt (VfL Wolfsburg e. V.) came second with 36.4 percent, while Jean-Paul Bredau (VfL Wolfsburg e. V.) came third with 13.9 percent. The Wolfsburg Blackbirds baseball team (VfB Fallersleben e. V.) won the vote for Team of the Year with 40 percent of the votes. The dance duo Silke and Kim Bartels (VfL Wolfsburg e. V.) achieved 30.4 percent and the Shiny Skaters from TV Jahn Wolfsburg e. V. 29.6 percent.

The winners of the competition will be notified by email. The award ceremony for the winning athletes will take place on April 29 at Wolfsburg Castle.
