The Public Medical Service and Counseling Center is made up of two teams. Among other things, the Public Medical Service prepares medical reports on behalf of the authorities and offers regular advice on sexual health. It is a yellow fever vaccination center and performs prevention tasks as part of outreach social-medical services in community facilities. The guardianship office provides information and advice on legal guardianship, health care proxies, care directives and living wills. It is possible to have health care proxies notarized. In addition, legal guardianship tasks are carried out in conjunction with the guardianship court. These are regulated in the German Civil Code for persons of legal age who are partially or completely unable to manage their own affairs due to mental illness or a physical, mental or psychological disability.
