Greeting from the Head of Cultural Affairs
Dear friends of the Sommerbühne,
Tradition meets zeitgeist - this year the Sommerbühne is expanding its program and setting new accents: You can look forward to a variety of genres from funk to pop and classical music to Balkan grooves and Afro beats. Pre-acts from the fields of acrobatics, variety and music will showcase their talents. For the first time, the festival invites you to a club evening with a DJ in the vaulted cellar and a family day with a colorful program for young and old.
And of course the traditional big performance by the little ones - the finale of "Kita Singt" by the municipal music school - is not to be missed.
Let's discover new things together, be enchanted by imaginative walk acts, dance to rousing music and experience happy moments on the summer stage - and not just in the atmospheric Baroque garden at Wolfsburg Castle.
I am particularly pleased that the summer stage will once again go beyond the castle grounds and radiate into the city with a picnic concert at Allersee in cooperation with Braunschweigische Landschaft e.V..
This special Wolfsburg highlight is possible above all thanks to our sponsors, supporters, supporters and cooperation partners of the Summer Stage. I would like to thank the Volkswagen Group, the Friends of the International Summer Stage, the Italian Consular Agency Wolfsburg, the Sparkasse Celle-Gifhorn-Wolfsburg, the International Circle of Friends Wolfsburg e.V., the Braunschweigische Landschaft e.V., Schnellecke Logistics, Neuland WohnungsgesellschaftmgH and Ehme de Riese DER OPTIKER. and the many other Wolfsburg companies who are committed to our city and the festival in a variety of ways.
See you at the 34th Summer Stage.
Kai-Uwe Hirschheide
First City Councillor and Head of Cultural Affairs
Greetings from the Friends of the Internationale Sommerbühne e. V.
Dear guests of the International Summer Stage,
Music is in the air when the International Summer Stage opens its doors. Sounds and rhythms of different styles waft through the baroque garden of Wolfsburg Castle during the festival - for young and old.
The young visitors are particularly important to us as the Friends of the International Summer Stage. This year, we are once again happy to support the children's program and, for the first time, the family day, a colourful event with games, fun and cultural highlights.
But that's not all, dear friends of the Sommerbühne. You can look forward to a bonus with exciting pre-acts and a top-class closing concert at the Allersee.
We look forward to seeing you and enjoying the varied Summer Stage program together.
Yours
1st Chairwoman of the Freundeskreis Internationale Sommerbühne e. V.
