Registration for the 2026/27 school year for fifth grade and the 2027/28 school year for elementary school will start in Wolfsburg in spring 2026. The city of Wolfsburg will inform parents and guardians about the processes at an early stage and provide digital information. The registration periods for children who will be attending first or fifth grade in the coming school year take place in April and May respectively.

The central registration week for future first graders is scheduled for May 4 to 8. The Waldschule Eichelkamp will hold registration on separate days. A letter with all relevant information, an overview of Wolfsburg's elementary school and the required registration form was sent to parents and guardians at the end of January. In addition, the city of Wolfsburg invites you to a digital information event on Wednesday, April 8, at 5:00 pm. The access data is enclosed with the letter. Further information offers, such as open days or information evenings, can be found in the leaflet on school enrollment or on the homepages of the respective elementary school. It is recommended to indicate an alternative preferred school when registering.

The dates for registration at secondary schools have also been set: The regular registration week for the new fifth grades will take place from April 20 to 23. Late registration days will follow on May 11 and 12. The information letter to parents or guardians of children in the fourth grade will be distributed by email via the elementary school at the beginning of February. A digital information event is planned for Tuesday, April 7, at 5:00 pm. The access data, information days at the secondary schools and further information on the registration procedure are enclosed with the letter. Proof of immunity against measles is mandatory and must be presented when registering.
