Kick-off event in Wolfsburg
On September 20, 2025, the Migrant Parents Network Wolfsburg was officially presented in the castle and opened as the 12th regional network of the Lower Saxony-wide MEN. The event was opened by Lower Saxony's Minister of Social Affairs Dr. Andreas Philippi and Wolfsburg's Lord Mayor Dennis Weilmann.
In the morning, visitors were able to obtain a wide range of information on education, upbringing and participation in a parents' information world. The focus was on the parents themselves: They are already involved in the network on a voluntary basis and gave an insight into the opportunities and challenges of migrant families with their personal experiences.
The nationwide network was also represented: Dr. Anwar Hadeed (Managing Director of amfn e.V.) and Sabrina Zourelidis (Project Coordinator MEN) underlined the close connection between Wolfsburg and the Lower Saxony network.
