What is it about?

The dementia course developed by "Hands-on Dementia" simulates the symptoms of dementia and guides participants through an ordinary day of a person with dementia in a total of 13 everyday situations.
From getting dressed, going into town and shopping at the market to dinner and going to bed, people who do not have dementia can experience what the symptoms of dementia feel like.
The participants will experience their own limits in the various situations and their own inability to cope. By experiencing their own emotions, they develop a better understanding of dementia patients.

Who is the dementia course aimed at?

Der Demenzparcours richtet sich ausdrücklich nicht an Menschen, die selbst an einer Demenz erkrankt sind. Bei Interesse können Sie den Demenzparcours auf Veranstaltungen des Senioren- und PflegeStützpunktes Wolfsburg entdecken und ausprobieren.

What does the dementia course cost?

Grundsätzlich können sich interessierte Gruppen und Institutionen aus Wolfsburg den Demenzparcours kostenlos ausleihen. Vorab wird jedoch eine Schutzgebühr von 50 Euro erhoben, welche bei vollständiger und sachgemäßer Rückgabe der Materialien zurückerstattet wird.
