Since 1991, well over 80 young storks have been born and raised in the nest in Wolfsburg-Warmenau. In 2025 there were three storks.

Unfortunately, due to its age, the webcam's technology has often caused problems over the past year and at times did not deliver any images. A technical analysis has shown that a complete replacement would be necessary in order to continue operating the webcam. Such a replacement would involve a considerable financial outlay. In view of the sometimes drastic cost-cutting measures in the municipal budget, which have been ongoing for several years now, such an investment is no longer justifiable. We will therefore unfortunately discontinue the operation of the webcam.

We very much regret this decision, as it has given our team great pleasure every year to follow the often lively goings-on in the stork's nest together with you.

We are well aware that our decision will sadden many stork lovers. And so are we.
