The "Citylogistik Wolfsburg: Safe and attractive city center" project aims to create a safe, user-friendly and resilient public space for events, retail and restaurants in the middle of Porschestraße. Stationary and retractable high-security barriers are to be installed at selected access points (Kleiststrasse, Maximilian-Kolbe-Weg, Kolpingstrasse North and South, Kaufhofpassage and Pestalozziallee) to prevent unauthorized vehicles from passing through. Concrete benches with wooden cladding, planters and other furniture are also planned. Integrated control and switching technology helps to organize rescue and delivery traffic sustainably. The aim is to improve the quality of life and safety in the city center.
