Weapons registration

Application for registration of a firearm on a firearm ownership card or also issuance/granting of a second (third, etc.) firearm ownership card.

• Weapons possession card holder or holder of power of attorney
• Valid annual hunting license or shooting certificate

• Application for registration of a firearm (extension of a firearm ownership card or (new) issuance)
• Purchase contract
• Presentation of the already existing firearm possession card
• Identity card
• Written power of attorney, if applicable
• In the case of sport shooters, proof of the need for the firearm to be registered (confirmation of the need for the firearm from the club).

Weapon entry within an acquisition process:

Weapons possession card without entry for hunters: 30,00 Euro
Weapons possession card without entry for sport shooters: 75,00 Euro
Weapons possession card with pre-entry hunters and sport shooters: 60,00 Euro

Weapon pre-entry: 60,00 Euro



1st weapon: 25,00 Euro
2nd to 10th weapon: 18,00 Euro
From the 11th weapon: 12,00 Euro

Ammunition acquisition permit per caliber: 25,00 Euro

Registration period: within 14 days of acquiring the firearm from an authorized person.

Exceeding the notification deadline is an administrative offense and is punishable by a fine.
