Kleistpark is to be redesigned in such a way that people enjoy spending time there, the areas are to be ecologically upgraded and made more climate-resistant. Among other things, it is about measures for green spaces, routing for cyclists and pedestrians as well as sports, play and cultural areas. Another participation event is coming up for the project: the children and youth participation event on Saturday, May 24, from 11 am to 3 pm in the beer garden of the indoor pool.

The Green Oasis City Centre - Kleistpark is a project that will be implemented until 2028 with funding from the Resilient City Centres program of the Lower Saxony Ministry for Federal and European Affairs and Regional Development as part of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and with funds from the municipal budget.
