Ob Verein, Initiative oder engagierte*r Bürger*in – mit dem Innenstadtfonds Wolfsburg kannst du deine Ideen für ein lebendiges, nachhaltiges und attraktives Zentrum verwirklichen.

Die Stadt Wolfsburg stellt in den Jahren 2025 und 2026 insgesamt 50.000 Euro zur Verfügung, um gemeinnützige und kreative Projekte im Innenstadtbereich zu fördern. Unterstützt werden Vorhaben mit einem Mindestbudget von 1.000 Euro und einer 50/50-Finanzierung, das bedeutet, dass die Stadt bis zu 50 Prozent der förderfähigen Kosten übernimmt, maximal jedoch 5.000 Euro pro Projekt. Die restlichen Kosten müssen aus Eigenmitteln finanziert werden

• What is an inner city fund?

  Inner city funds, also known as disposition funds, are used in overall urban development measures to provide financial support for smaller projects developed through local involvement. With the help of this fund, ideas from private actors (e.g. associations, traders, residents) can be implemented in the short term that serve the development of the inner city development area. In this way, the inner city fund provides an incentive to get involved in the development of one's own city.

  Want to get started? Here's how it works:

  1. project idea

  Your project should create added value for Wolfsburg's city center and fulfill one of the funding objectives (e.g. urban ecology, strengthening retail/local supply, supporting social or cultural activities, improving the quality of stay, etc.).
  
  Do you have any questions or need support?
  
  The City Management of Wolfsburg Wirtschaft und Marketing GmbH (WMG) is your point of contact. It will assist you with the application process, advise you on project development and support you during implementation. Contact: innenstadt@wmg-wolfsburg.de / 05361 899940

  2. fill out the application form

  Download the application form in the download area. You will need

  • A brief description of your idea
  • Cost estimate
  • Proof of your own contribution (at least 50%)

  3. submission to the city management of WMG

  By e-mail to: innenstadt@wmg-wolfsburg.de WMG will check eligibility for funding together with the administration.

  4. presentation to the committee

  After a positive preliminary assessment, you present your project in person at a meeting of the fund commission.

  5. approval & Implementation

  Once you have been approved, you can start your project. Billing is based on the reimbursement principle.

• Which projects can I use it to support?

  From raised beds and mobile gardens to artistic wall designs, charitable events, pop-up uses or creative shop window designs - there are virtually no limits to your imagination. The only important thing is that your project should benefit the general public and help to make our city center livelier, greener and more attractive.

  Do you still need ideas? Why not take a look at the Sustainable Town Centers and Centers for the Old Towns in Fallersleben and Vorsfelde or take a look at projects that have already been implemented in the Town Center Fund.

  Über die Förderwürdigkeit entscheidet die Fondskommission Innenstadt, die sich aus 24 stimmberechtigten Mitgliedern zusammensetzt. Sie ist Teil der bestehenden Steuerungsgruppe "Resiliente Innenstädte" und vereint Vertreterinnen und Vertreter aus Politik, Stadtverwaltung sowie relevante Innenstadtakteure*innen.
