You will need the following documents:
- the identity card/passport
- a current passport photo(photo sample board of the Bundesdruckerei)
- a certificate or expert opinion from an ophthalmologist (not older than two years)
- a medical certificate of physical and mental fitness (not older than one year) in accordance with Annex 5 of the Driving License Ordinance (FeV)
- a certificate from a doctor with the title of occupational medicine or the additional title of occupational medicine or a certificate from an assessment center for driving aptitude regarding physical and mental aptitude (not older than one year, and only for classes D, DE, D1, D1E, from the age of 50)
- a certificate of good conduct of document type 0 is required only for the D, DE, D1 and D1E (to be applied for in the Citizen Services B 015 at the fast counter without waiting mark)
- a copy of the index card, if the last driving license was issued by a foreign authority
- if applicable, the original of the foreign driver's license with translation
Tip: Use the ID card terminal (Speed Capture Station)
An ID card terminal is available in the hallway on the ground floor of City Hall B of the City of Wolfsburg. You can enter your biometric data here:
- Photo
- Signature
for ID cards, passports and driver's licenses yourself. This saves you the effort and cost of obtaining your biometric passport photo. After capturing, the document application must be continued at the counter. The fee for capturing the data is 6,00 Euro and will be charged together with the fee for the document application at the counter.
Please note that the data collected can only be used to apply for an ID card, passport or driver's license.
