Unusual jazz standards, catchy pop songs, groove-oriented arrangements from the fields of rock and fusion as well as musicals describe the stylistic range of the Jazz and Pop Choir of the Music School of the City of Wolfsburg. In several languages and with modern sounds, the choir surprises with its new concert program. What unites all singers: The joy of the common sound! So if you enjoy working on groove, voice training and sound, the Jazz and Pop Choir of the Music School is the right place for you.

With its multifaceted program, the choir has already had several successful performances and, in addition to contributions to the Schlossnacht 2009, has already been heard twice together with the Jazzchor Freiburg and performed with the world-famous Norwegian jazz singer Torun Eriksen at the phæno. The choir, founded nine years ago by Cinzia Rizzo, has been directed by Juliette Jacobsen since 2016.

Together with their director, the approximately 25 female singers are looking forward to reinforcement, especially from enthusiastic male voices!

Anyone who would like to sing along can simply come along! Rehearsals take place on Thursdays from 18:15 to 20:15 in the large hall of the music school. Previous musical training or knowledge of sheet music is desirable, but not essential. Beforehand there is the opportunity for choir-oriented voice training.

Juliette Jacobsen also works as a singing teacher at the Wolfsburg Music School, specializing in jazz singing. Registrations are accepted by the music school administration.
