A sign of lived solidarity
Ukrainian Consul General visits Wolfsburg

"The Russian war of aggression concerns us all. The invasion of Ukraine has plunged us into times we thought we had overcome and has shaken the European security order. The inviolability of borders, the sovereignty and self-determination of a country and compliance with rules and the law are non-negotiable. We continue to stand firmly by the people of Ukraine," emphasized Dennis Weilmann.
Since September 2023, the city of Wolfsburg has had two solidarity partner cities in Ukraine, Shovkva and Nizhyn. In addition to organized aid transports, donations are also collected via the German Red Cross.
Most recently, two rescue vehicles, an ambulance and an emergency ambulance, were transferred to Nizhyn and Shovkva to support the two Ukrainian solidarity partner cities of the city of Wolfsburg. A coach had also already been handed over in Shovkva this year, which is used to transport schoolchildren in the Ukrainian city.
