On Thursday, May 29, there will be a ban on alcohol in the Allerpark in Wolfsburg from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on the occasion of Ascension Day. During this period, it is prohibited to carry or consume alcoholic beverages in the Allerpark area.

Police and the municipal public order service will be on site to monitor compliance with the ban. Not affected by the alcohol ban are the areas of the catering establishments and the grounds of the shooting festival.

The measure serves to maintain public safety and order. On Ascension Day, there have been repeated alcohol-related riots. Since the introduction of the alcohol ban in 2012, the situation has calmed down considerably.
