Groundbreaking ceremony for new KFC restaurant
Gastronomic offer in Wolfsburg is being expanded

Lord Mayor Dennis Weilmann sees the project as a gain for the city's economic development and gastronomic diversity: "The establishment of KFC offers real added value for the people of Wolfsburg. With the new restaurant, we are not only expanding the gastronomic offering, but also creating additional jobs locally. I wish the construction work a successful outcome and look forward to the opening."
Jens Hofschröer, Head of Economic Affairs, added: "The establishment of KFC proves that Wolfsburg is an attractive location for investment and internationally active companies. We are delighted about the investment on the private commercial property, which will create new jobs and further enrich the gastronomic offering."
The new KFC restaurant will be operated by experienced franchise partner Jasvir Singh. He is opening his 20th KFC restaurant in Germany: "We are very proud to finally bring KFC to Wolfsburg! My team and I are looking forward to spoiling locals, guests from the surrounding area and travelers with our daily fresh chicken prepared according to the original recipe by KFC founder Colonel Harland Sanders," says Singh.
Thorsten Müller, Head of Franchise Relation at KFC Germany, is also positive about the expansion in the north: "It was time for another KFC restaurant in this region. With Jasvir Singh, we have a trustworthy and long-standing partner at our side who will support us in the successful continuation of our expansion strategy in Germany. We are very pleased about the support of the city of Wolfsburg as well as the great anticipation of the future guests for crispy KFC Chicken at the new location."
Modern facilities and services
The restaurant will have a total area of around 330 square meters, including around 140 square meters of dining space. There will be 86 seats inside and a further 54 on the terrace. Inside, guests can expect the typical KFC design with industrial elements, wood and warm red tones. A play corner for children is also planned. Orders can be placed via the ordering kiosk, Click-&-Collect or the drive-thru counter. The restaurant will have sufficient parking spaces for cars and bicycles. The opening date is planned for the fall.
