Medical Office celebrates topping-out ceremony
Milestone for inner city development

During the event, Lord Mayor Dennis Weilmann emphasized the importance of the project for the development of the city centre: "The Medical Office is much more than a modern building - it is a strong commitment to Wolfsburg as a location. In the middle of our city center, a place is being created that combines central healthcare services with attractive service and leisure facilities. The fact that we can already celebrate the topping-out ceremony today is an expression of the outstanding cooperation and great commitment of everyone involved. The new building provides an important impetus for the further development of the Nordkopf area and shows that we are rethinking our city center: We are rethinking our city center - and implementing this consistently."
Numerous guests from the city administration, the construction industry, the healthcare sector and the public attended the topping-out ceremony. The traditional topping-out speech and a get-together rounded off the event.
Strong partnership and modern urban development
An important construction project is being realized with HAJULIRO Projektgesellschaft mbH (investor: Harald Vespermann), Bühring Architekten and the general contractor Goldbeck GmbH. A new five-storey building with a gross floor area of around 7,400 square meters is being built on a plot of around 1,500 square meters - modern, energy-efficient and future-proof.
The new building will not only create jobs, but will also revitalize the surrounding area at Nordkopf. The open-plan first floor zone in particular will help to enhance the district.
The health department moves in: modern care in a central location
A special milestone for the city administration is the future relocation of our health department. This will allow us to bundle the central tasks of the public health service - from advice and prevention to infection protection and socio-medical services - in one place in future. This will not only improve the quality of service, but also make it more accessible to citizens.
With the Medical Office, we are creating a Wolfsburg that is more digital, healthier and more liveable - and at the same time sending a strong signal for the future viability of our city center.
