Willy-Brandt-Platz is being renovated
Construction site and full closure from June 10

"With Willy-Brandt-Platz, we have renovated and upgraded one of the most important streets for the main railway station and the city center in just under a year. We are deliberately bringing this year's work forward to the summer vacations in order to avoid an overlap with the renovation of Heinrich-Nordhoff-Straße, which is scheduled for July," explains Kai-Uwe Hirschheide, First City Councillor and City Planning Officer.
In the first part, the section from the crosswalk to the entrance/exit of the parking garage will be tackled (June 10 to 16). During this time, buses will not be able to drive directly to the main station, but will only stop at the ZOB. The short-term parking lot is closed to public traffic and serves as a bus parking lot. The parking lot at the station can be accessed via Heinrich-Nordhoff-Straße. From the direction of ZOB/phaeno, Willy-Brandt-Platz will become a dead end, but can be used by cars and cabs to pick up or drop off passengers at the station.
The second part includes Willy-Brandt-Platz from the entrance to the parking garage, including the middle connection of the street to Heinrich-Nordhoff-Straße (June 16 to 20). From then on, buses will return to the station as usual. The parking garage can then only be approached from the direction of the station. Pedestrian traffic will not be restricted.
The affected businesses have been informed by Wolfsburg Wirtschaft und Marketing GmbH (WMG). Coordination with Volkswagen also took place in advance.
