UEFA Women's EURO 2029
Wolfsburg is part of the DFB bid

Wolfsburg is one of eight venues in the official DFB bid for the UEFA Women's EURO 2029. If Germany wins the bid, we can look forward to another major soccer tournament in our city - with everything that goes with it: full stands, international guests and a very special EURO atmosphere.
"Wolfsburg stands for women's soccer like hardly any other city in Germany. The Wolves have made history here over the years with heart, passion and success. The fact that we are now part of the EURO bid is both an honor and an incentive for us. We want to be the host - for a tournament that not only inspires in terms of sport, but also moves society," says Lord Mayor Dennis Weilmann.
The joy is also palpable at a working level: "The bid is not just a soccer project - it stands for a vision of diversity, togetherness and new beginnings. Wolfsburg has the best prerequisites for this: a state-of-the-art stadium, short distances, experience with major events - and above all a city that lives and breathes soccer. The close and trusting cooperation with VfL Wolfsburg has been demonstrated once again, particularly during the bidding process. Without this strong partnership, such a bid would be unthinkable," says Henry Eichberg, Head of the Communications Department and Office of the Lord Mayor.
The bid is under the slogan Together WE Rise - growing together. The aim is to set new standards with the 2029 Women's European Championship: one million tickets sold, maximum visibility and a clear focus on sustainability, inclusion and empowerment.
Whether the DFB wins the bid will be decided on December 3. Until then, we have to keep our fingers crossed - and be ready to welcome Europe.
