Gila Kolb (Goldau/Kassel), an expert in art education and mediation research, and Simon Nagy (Vienna/Wolfsburg), recipient of the Volkswagen Group Fellowship, will be guests at the next art talk during the lunch break on Thursday, March 5, at 12 noon in the Städtische Galerie im Schloss Wolfsburg (meeting point: Flame of Revolution, east wing). The number of places is limited, so please register by calling 05361281012 or sending an email to aufsicht-galerie@stadt.wolfsburg.de. As a subscriber, no additional registration is required. The cost of the event and lunch is twelve euros.

In a personal discussion with Marcus Körber, Director of the Städtische Galerie, the question of what art education can achieve today in the face of social transformation, an increasingly digital public and changing reception habits will be discussed. Gila Kolb will focus on current developments and research approaches in art education as well as key results of the Volkswagen Group's art education scholarship at the Städtische Galerie, which she has been supporting since 2017.

The cooperation project between the Städtische Galerie im Schloss and the Institut für Zeitgeschichte und Stadtpräsentation (IZS) focuses on the theme of resistance. Simon Nagy's mediation work there deals with the idea of how mediation offerings can be conceived in an artistic, participatory, discursive and experimental way.
