New event technology course at BBS II
From August 1, 2026, the new training course "Event Technology Specialist" is to start at the Berufsbildende Schulen II (BBS II) in Wolfsburg. The three-year dual training course is aimed at young people with an interest in technology who want to work in the organization and technical implementation of events. The aim is to create a regional offer for training companies that avoids block teaching and enables practical training on site. The final decision on the establishment of the course is expected to be made by the Wolfsburg City Council at its meeting on February 11, 2026.
Lessons will take place on two days in the first year, then on one day per week - there will generally be no lessons on Mondays and Fridays. The training is supervised by an experienced team of teachers specializing in electrical engineering, chemical technology and metal technology. The trainees benefit from the modern technical facilities at BBS II, such as the newly designed lecture hall. The establishment of the course has already been discussed by the relevant committees and is also intended to strengthen the regional event industry.
