Shop window exhibition art at Hempel
The special exhibition format of the M2K of the city of Wolfsburg in cooperation with the fashion house Hempel enters its fifth round on Saturday, February 14: The artists Claudia Hentrich, Imke Böllhoff and Vanessa Gelbke present their works in the outside shop windows of the fashion house Hempel in Porschestraße. The M2K and the artists invite everyone in Wolfsburg to the opening of Kunst bei Hempel on Saturday, February 14, at 12:00 noon in front of the shop windows of the Hempel fashion store in Porschestraße.
"This form of staging art in public space is once again a wonderful opportunity to bring art into the everyday lives of Wolfsburg residents and to revitalize the city centre. Our heartfelt thanks go to Ms. Annette Hempel for continuing the successful collaboration and providing the opportunity for this special exhibition project," explain Head of Cultural Affairs Kai-Uwe Hirschheide and Andreas Meyer, Head of Culture at the City of Wolfsburg.
From February 14 to March 1, Wolfsburg residents will be able to discover three exciting works of art during their shopping spree - works that could hardly be more different from one another, and it is precisely here that their strength lies. The exhibition also provides an insight into the new art and painting school Atelier einRAUM, where all three artists work as lecturers.
Claudia Hentrich is showing works from the fields of printmaking, drawing and photography. Imke Böllhoff is dedicated to intuitive painting. Vanessa Gelbke combines manga and comic drawing with classical drawing, printmaking and ceramics. The einRAUM studio in Wolfsburg's Heinenkamp was conceived and founded by Frauke Kronschnabel. With her vision of an open, lively place for artistic development, she provides the ideal framework for the work of the three artists as lecturers and the content of the studio.
