Fallersleben conservation statutes
The legally binding preservation statutes for the old town of the Fallersleben district were adopted by the Wolfsburg City Council on 22.05.2019.
At its meetings on 7 June 2023 and 23 October 2024, the Fallersleben / Sülfeld local council unanimously requested an amendment to the conservation statutes. Accordingly, the construction of photovoltaic systems is to be declared permissible in principle. In addition, a duty to discuss before a decision is made on a project and a takeover request in cases of economic unreasonableness are to be included in the statutes. This amendment was adopted by Wolfsburg City Council on 10.12.2025.
The old town of Fallersleben is subject to a constant desire for change and energy-efficient renovations are necessary. At the same time, structural changes can endanger the existing buildings that characterize the urban development and thus also the urban appearance. Impairments to the urban design caused by inappropriate changes, demolitions or new buildings should be prevented.
