In addition, urban planning concepts and drafts, for example for new building areas, are developed, coordinated with other business units and supported until implementation.
In the Lower Building Supervisory Authority, citizens are advised on all questions of building law.

The departments and fields of activity of the business area
Among other things, the Service and Contracts department is the point of contact when citizens need advice on the topics of development contracts, urban development contracts and transfer contracts for parking spaces. The department also houses the archive of building files.
In addition, citizens can apply here for exemption from the obligation to connect to the district heating network.
The objective of Wolfsburg's urban planning is to upgrade and further develop the city center. With the Porschestrasse master plan, the subsequent reconstruction of the pedestrian zone and the current projects in the area of the Nordkopf, significant parts of the city center have already been redesigned and sustainably developed.
If you have questions about a building project or building plot, the Bau-Bürger-Büro is responsible for you. As the lower building supervisory authority, the colleagues are available to advise you and issue the necessary building permits. Possible problems can often be eliminated in advance. This may save you a lot of time and unnecessary costs.
