Preservation statutes Vorsfelde
The legally binding preservation statute for the Vorsfelde district was adopted by the Wolfsburg City Council on May 3, 1989.
The aim of the statutes is to preserve the inner city area of the Vorsfelde district. The structures and buildings characterize the townscape and urban form in their context. They are of urban planning, historical and in some cases artistic significance.
The vast majority of the houses along the street, almost all of which were rebuilt in the 18th or 19th century after fires, are two-storey half-timbered buildings set on a solid base and contain residential and commercial uses.
The silhouette of the eastern edge of the old town with the church in the background is still visible and represents a characteristic urban development situation in the transition from the open landscape of the Drömling to the built-up inner city.
