City center development is one of Wolfsburg's future topics. In order to upgrade the city center, projects have already been completed, are being implemented or are in the planning stage in many places between the north and south ends. With the help of a newly created digital map on the city's website at www.wolfsburg.de/innenstadt, interested parties can find out about a total of 85 city center development projects. You can see where something new is being built, what the current status is - i.e. completed, in planning or proposed - and when completion is planned.

The projects listed include, for example, completed projects such as the unsealing of surfaces and the installation of additional street furniture, ongoing funding programs such as Zukunftsfähige Innenstädte und Zentren (ZIZ) and Resiliente Innenstädte (RI) as well as measures from the City-Sofort program. The aim is to make Wolfsburg even livelier, more inviting and more attractive for its citizens and visitors.
