A participatory process with heart and attitude
The City of Wolfsburg has unveiled its new employer brand "VielWert" - a strong symbol of diversity, mutual appreciation and a modern self-image as an employer. The aim of the new brand is to make the city administration even more attractive to new talent and at the same time strengthen the loyalty of existing employees.

"Our new employer brand 'VielWert' is a strong signal - both internally and externally. It shows what we stand for and where we want to go together. With 'VielWert', we have created a brand that not only reflects our values of diversity and appreciation, but also shows how strong the cohesion and commitment within our city administration is," emphasizes Lord Mayor Dennis Weilmann.
Developed from within
What makes "VielWert" special is that the brand was not imposed from the outside, but was developed in a participatory process over several months together with our employees. The focus was on authenticity and lived values.
The most important steps in the development process:
Employee surveys & Management interviews: A comprehensive analysis not only revealed the city's strengths as an employer, but also provided valuable information on development potential.
Workshops: Employees from various departments worked together to develop the central values and core promise of the brand.
Creative guiding idea & visual identity: Based on the values developed, three concept designs were created for the word and figurative mark.
Employee decision & authentic faces: The employees chose their favorite concept. 17 colleagues are now the faces of the campaign - they represent the diversity and commitment within the city administration.
An honest brand image with a future
"VielWert" is more than just a slogan - it's a promise. The brand is based on the experience, identity and commitment of the employees. It shows that the City of Wolfsburg is not only a modern but also an attractive, value-oriented employer.
