Advance booking for charity concert begins
Army Music Corps plays at the Scharoun Theater

"Corps in concert - Charity. We play. You donate!". This is the motto under which the city of Wolfsburg is organizing the traditional charity concert for the 46th time. The musical highlight will take place on Tuesday, October 28, at 7:30 p.m. in the Scharoun Theater in Wolfsburg. Under the direction of Lieutenant Colonel Martin Wehn, the Hanover Army Music Corps will once again ensure a good atmosphere on this evening with a mixture of charts, marching and film music.
The charity concert, which is once again supported this year by the reservist comradeship, has long been a firm fixture in the city's calendar of events. The proceeds from the concert are used to support social projects. This year, these are the Wolfsburg telephone helpline and the Bundeswehr social welfare organization. "The charity concert is a wonderful opportunity to do good and it's nice to see how culture and community come together to make a positive difference," affirms Lord Mayor Dennis Weilmann.
This year, National Veterans Day was celebrated for the first time on June 15 with the aim of strengthening social recognition for veterans and making their service for democracy, peace and security more visible. "As part of the charity concert, we are paying tribute to the courage and dedication of active and former soldiers of the Bundeswehr, paying them respect and putting them in the spotlight," emphasizes the Lord Mayor.
Tickets for the concert are available from Monday, July 28 via the Scharoun Theater website at www.theater.wolfsburg.de, at the theater box office, Porschestraße 41 D, as well as at the box office for last-minute bookings at a price of 20 euros.
