The fire department has arrived!

When there's a fire, the fire department comes. An exhibition on the history of the Fallersleben volunteer fire department at the Hoffmann-von-Fallersleben Museum in the M2K shows what happens at the scene of an emergency. On Sunday, August 3, children from the age of four can learn even more about fire departments and firefighters with their siblings and friends as well as parents and grandma and grandpa. For example, the question of why the coffee always gets cold at the fire station will be answered. A popular children's book tells the story. Rita Techen-Müller from the museum team in the castle will be reading from this and other books on the subject of fire departments this afternoon from 3 pm.
Children can "build" their own fire engines during a paper craft activity. Firefighters can try out how clever and skilled they have to be with puzzles, quizzes and games of skill. Those who (almost) want to spray water like the fire department can also enjoy the open air in front of the castle and museum, as long as the forecast rain is not heavier. Of course, you can also enjoy coffee, which is guaranteed to stay hot on this afternoon.
