The aquatic plants in the Allersee will be cut back again from Monday, August 4, using a mowing boat. The clippings will be transported simultaneously via a conveyor belt to a loading area and then taken to the shore. It will remain there for some time to give aquatic insects the opportunity to crawl back into their original habitat. After this waiting period, the plant parts are removed.

The mowing boat does not interfere with swimming. If plant cuttings reach the sandy beach as flotsam, they are collected by the City of Wolfsburg's green division.
