Sustainability action days

From September 18 to October 8, the city of Wolfsburg is taking part in the German Sustainability Action Days with a wide range of information and hands-on activities for citizens. On a total of six action days, the city library, the climate and environmental protection department and the regional environmental education center NEST will provide information on key topics of sustainable development. The events will take place on Hollerplatz and Rathausplatz. Key topics include wild bee protection, upcycling, resource-conserving use of technology and climate change.

The action days are aimed at interested people of all ages and offer hands-on activities such as a bee quiz, seed paper design, feel boxes with natural materials and an interactive energy quiz. These are complemented by information stands, models and posters. The aim is to promote a sustainable lifestyle through experiential learning and to motivate citizens to get involved. The events are part of a municipal education network that supports the implementation of the global sustainability goals.
