District chimney sweep appointed for a further seven years

With effect from September 1, the city of Wolfsburg has appointed the district master chimney sweep Andreas Krause for a further seven years. The area of responsibility of the sweeping district includes the Wolfsburg districts of Ehmen, Fallersleben, Mörse, Sülfeld as well as Allenbüttel, Bokensdorf and Groß Brunsrode. The city of Wolfsburg even assumes the role of supervisory authority for some municipalities outside Wolfsburg.
"This appointment ensures that the citizens of the sweeping district can continue to rely on Mr. Krause's experience, expertise and reliability - an important foundation for safety and trust within their own four walls," summarizes Andreas Bauer, Head of Finance, Citizen Services and Fire and Disaster Protection.
The tasks of the chimney sweep trade are diverse and of great importance for the safety of citizens. In addition to the traditional work of sweeping and regularly inspecting chimneys, it also includes carrying out fireplace inspections, measuring and monitoring exhaust gas values and inspecting newly installed or modified fireplaces. The trade thus makes an indispensable contribution to fire protection, environmental protection and safety in households.
