Pedestrian traffic check

With the support of Landesnahverkehrsgesellschaft Niedersachsen mbH (LNVG), the city of Wolfsburg is carrying out a pedestrian traffic check in Detmerode and Fallersleben. Together with residents, experts are taking a close look at the paths in the two districts. The aim is to eliminate tripping hazards and obstacles and at the same time increase road safety for pedestrians.

The kick-off workshop on September 15 (6 p.m., meeting room 5, town hall A) will start by defining the routes to be examined in Detmerode and Fallersleben together with the participants. On September 22 (Fallersleben) and September 29 (Detmerode), the paths will then be inspected in the evening. At a final workshop, the results of the pedestrian traffic check will be summarized and initial solutions and possible measures will be discussed. Registration is not necessary.

The MOBILOTSIN advisory unit of the LNVG is coordinating the course of the pedestrian traffic check. The city is supported in all phases of the project by Planersocietät, which carries out the pedestrian traffic checks on behalf of LNVG. Wolfsburg is one of the first municipalities in Lower Saxony to receive support from the LNVG in this area and is leading the way in improving pedestrian traffic.
