In total, we are resurfacing around 12,690 square meters of the road surface - using a new, fast and cost-effective construction method

"The planned surface treatment and thin overlay using the cold construction method are very cost-effective and quick to carry out, as milling work and setting times are largely dispensed with. We hope to gain valuable experience for the future so that we can rehabilitate more kilometers of road with fewer resources and less time," explains Oliver Iversen, Head of Road Construction and Project Coordination

Detour via Heiligendorf, Neindorf and Almke

For the duration of the construction work, the detour between the districts of Barnstorf and Nordsteimke will be via Heiligendorf, Neindorf and Almke. The K 146 is open to residents from Waldhof. The bus service will be maintained by Wolfsburger Verkehrsgesellschaft (WVG). The WVG can also use the K 146 between 6:30 am and 6 pm. The 2025 road surface program comprises a total of around 40,000 square metres of road rehabilitation and a budget of almost two million euros. The current work on Königsberger Straße (8 September to 21 October) is also part of the road surface program.
