The city of Wolfsburg is currently carrying out construction work on Sauerbruchstraße as part of its basic renewal program. The work started in July 2025 and is a joint project with Wolfsburger Entwässerungsbetriebe (WEB) and LSW Wolfsburg. In addition to the road construction work and the installation of new street lights, 250 meters of rainwater and wastewater sewers have already been renewed and empty conduits for LSW have been laid in the first construction phase, so that the first section of the roadway and 40 parking spaces can be opened to the public as early as mid-October.

The aim is to complete the entire parking areas and the sidewalk area in front of the clinic by the end of the year. So far, all work is on schedule, so that the entire construction project can be expected to be completed by the middle of next year.
