A week full of adventure, creativity and animal encounters - that's what the Fallersleben active playground offered from October 13 to 17. Every day from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., children aged six to ten were able to build, play and discover to their heart's content. 15 children took part.

Building huts was particularly popular: with a lot of skill and imagination, the children erected their own huts, laid wooden slats as flooring and built balconies. Under the guidance of educational specialist Arne Lieven, the children learned how to carve. They created swords and magic wands, which the children used to playfully slip into magical roles.

The animals in the active playground were also a special experience. Solveig (9 years old) says enthusiastically: "I liked it most that we were with the goats and that we also walked on stilts and that I made such cool friends." Mila (10 years old) reports: "It was nice that there were so many children there and that we became friends." Mathilda (aged 8) says: "I liked the fact that we got to meet such great animals here, e.g. goats and rabbits."

Thanks to the support of the Margarethe Schnellecke Foundation, four children from financially disadvantaged families were able to take part in the adventure week. On behalf of the children, the youth development department would like to express its sincere thanks. Nicole Kannewurf, deputy chairwoman of the foundation, was impressed during her visit to the adventure week: "It's wonderful to see how much fun the children have building booths and carving. We are delighted that we were able to enable children to take part who would otherwise not have had the opportunity to do so."
