Next Monday, October 13, work will begin on replacing the signal heads at the Hofekamp/Herzogin-Clara-Straße traffic lights and the associated signalized crossing at Hoffmann-von Fallersleben-Straße. The signal heads, which are still fitted with light bulbs, urgently need to be replaced after around 20 years of operation. During the work, the respective junction is switched off. In order to achieve a high level of traffic safety even when the traffic lights are switched off, left turns from Herzogin-Clara-Straße and Hinterm Hagen will be prohibited. Pedestrians will be diverted to the adjacent traffic lights by means of signage. The work is expected to be completed on Friday, October 17.

In addition to the above-mentioned traffic lights, three other systems in Fallersleben are to be renewed this year. The Hafenstraße/Viehtrift/Weyhäuser Weg traffic lights will be renewed at the beginning of November (45th calendar week). The traffic lights at Bahnhofstraße/Am Neuen Tor will be renewed in week 47 and the traffic lights at Gifhorner Str./Viehtrift/Hofekamp in week 49.
