Around 45 international guests from over ten countries are taking part in the 11th International Week of the Faculty of Business at Ostfalia University this week. Among them are around 30 students and 15 lecturers who are familiarizing themselves with the Wolfsburg location and its educational landscape as part of guest lectures and a varied supporting programme. The guests come from countries including the USA, Hungary, Finland, Slovakia, England, Singapore and Denmark. In addition, around 100 Ostfalia students from the Faculty of Business are taking part in the International Week.

The city of Wolfsburg has now officially welcomed the participants in the council meeting room. Jens Hofschröer, Head of the Department for Digital and Economic Affairs, welcomed the guests, and Prof. Dr. Denis Royer, Dean of the Faculty of Business, returned the greetings. This was followed by a guided tour in English on the roof of the town hall. In two groups, the guests were able to enjoy the view of Wolfsburg and find out about the city's development. "The continuous and trusting cooperation with Ostfalia is a central component of our joint strategy to sustainably strengthen Wolfsburg as a science and university location," emphasized Hofschröer during the reception.

Wolfsburg presented itself as a dynamic and international university and business location with a wide range of educational opportunities and future-oriented jobs - from health, automotive engineering, business administration and IT to the circular economy. The close cooperation between the city, Ostfalia, Braunschweig University of Technology and other partners creates innovative prospects. The future concept for science adopted by the council in the summer forms the strategic framework for cooperation between the scientific stakeholders and with the city.

The aim is to pursue a holistic approach to science and to develop this further together. In addition to the professional insights, the focus for the guests is also on getting to know the city - for example during guided tours, joint cooking evenings or visits to the Autostadt and the Volkswagen plant.
