The traffic lights at the Gifhorner Straße/Viehtrift and Hofekamp/Ehmer Straße junctions in Fallersleben will be replaced from Monday, December 8. The signal heads, which are still fitted with light bulbs, urgently need to be replaced after around 20 years of operation. The traffic signals will be switched off during the work. In order to achieve a high level of traffic safety, turning left from Hofekamp into Ehmer Straße and from Viehtrift into Gifhorner Straße will be prohibited. A detour will be signposted. Temporary safety islands will be set up to make it easier for pedestrians to cross the road. The work is expected to be completed on Friday, December 12.
