The city of Wolfsburg supports people interested in starting a business and young founders in their first steps towards self-employment. Challenges that cause a start-up project to stall should be able to be addressed with municipal funding.
To this end, the city of Wolfsburg has launched the guideline for the promotion of start-up projects. Funding is available for consulting services with experts, investment funds for innovative projects and the rental of premises.
The funding is available until the end of 2023. Applications for the funding guideline can be submitted throughout the year.

Funding is available to individuals with serious start-up intentions and newly established self-employed businesses up to one year after establishment.
Private individuals and companies not entitled to deduct input tax: 70 percent of the eligible expenses, up to an amount of 2,500.00 euros (including VAT) as a non-repayable grant, will be funded.

- Complete the application form "Guideline for the promotion of start-up projects" in full and attach written documents. By sending the application and confirmation by email, the documents are transmitted to the City of Wolfsburg and processed there.
- If the application is approved, the City of Wolfsburg will issue a notification of grant entitling the applicant to use the subsidized service.
- The service is used by the grant recipient and the invoice is sent to the City of Wolfsburg (e-mail: wirtschaft@stadt.wolfsburg.de).
- The City of Wolfsburg will pay the grant to the grantee.
