All Deutschlandtickets for schoolchildren will be deactivated throughout the network in July. We do not plan to reactivate the tickets until August 14, 2025 - just in time for the new school year. But that will only work only work if all requirements are met. Without a valid demand registration, the ticket will remain blocked. Anyone who registers later must expect longer waiting times. And: the ticket is then only validonly valid within Wolfsburg.

"The demand survey is a good way of organizing school transport in a more targeted manner and avoiding unnecessary costs," explains Iris Bothe, Head of Education. "At the same time, we want to keep the effort for families as low as possible. The feedback we have received so far shows that that we are on the right track."

Christoph Andacht, Head of the Schools Division, is also calling for participation: "Anyone who would like to continue using the school travelcard in the coming school year should urgently register now. This is the only way to ensure that the Deutschlandticket is valid again in good time before school starts is valid again."

We launched the demand survey in April with multilingual letters to parents. You can find the links for digital registration and answers to frequently asked questions on the website of the School Division. There was an extended deadline for prospective first and fifth graders until mid-June. Registration is still possible during the school year - please note that there may be delays.delays may occur.

Next, we will carry out data synchronization to ensure that all eligible pupils receive their ticket in good time. Anyone who has not submitted a valid registration will not receive a new ticket. However, we will then issue a replacement certificate for the municipal public transport system upon request.
