Rainbow flags in front of Wolfsburg town hall
We set an example for diversity and human rights

"Wolfsburg is a diverse and cosmopolitan city. By hoisting the rainbow flags, we show that we are clearly committed to the values of our constitution and stand up for respectful coexistence. The CSD is an important symbol of freedom and equality - and Wolfsburg stands firmly on the side of the queer community," explains Lord Mayor Dennis Weilmann.
Colorful, loud and full of energy: the CSD in Wolfsburg
On 30 August, the organizers of the Wolfsburg CSD Association invite you to join in the demonstration and celebrations. The kick-off rally starts at 2 p.m. on Brandenburger Platz, after which the colorful procession will make its way across Hollerplatz to Jugendhaus Ost. A stage program will continue there from 4 pm - with music, speeches and drag performances. The after-show party starts at 9 pm.
"Christopher Street Day in Wolfsburg is much more than just a celebration - it is a clear signal for visibility, solidarity and acceptance. It is important that our city takes a stand and makes it clear that diversity is an asset. With our support, we are strengthening the queer community in Wolfsburg and together we are setting an example for democracy and human rights," says Susanne Deimel, Equal Opportunities Officer for the City of Wolfsburg.
Participate, shape, inform
We are represented at Jugendhaus Ost by several areas of the city: The Equal Opportunities Department, the Trans/Inter Advice Center and the Youth Development Department will be bringing along hands-on activities such as button and wristband design. At the same time, there will be space for exchange - especially for young queer people who are looking for a sympathetic ear.
Together with the Stadtjugendring Wolfsburg e. V. and Klangtapete e. V., visitors can also look forward to a photo box, a wheel of fortune and a slush ice machine.
Our appeal to all Wolfsburg residents: Take part, come along, celebrate with us - and together send a strong signal for diversity and tolerance in our city.
