FSJ in municipal facilities
This year, 30 young people started a voluntary social year (FSJ) with the city of Wolfsburg. They work in municipal daycare centers, all-day elementary school and youth development facilities such as leisure homes and active playgrounds. The official start date was September 1. A welcome breakfast has now been held at the youth center of the Stadtjugendring. Employees from the areas of youth development, early childhood education and all-day school welcomed the new FSJ employees together with the Stadtjugendring, which organizes the accompanying seminar weeks.
Also important for the start are the respective supervisors in the facilities, who closely accompany the new colleagues. For many participants, the focus in the coming year will be on practical work as well as professional orientation in the social sector. Christoph Block from the youth development department, together with Nicole Mrosek from the school division and Sören Henke from the early childhood education department, sums it up: "We are excited about the new FSJ cohort and wish everyone a good start and look forward to a dynamic collaboration."
