Dr. Christian Brinsa takes over as VKIG Chairman

During its conference and general meeting in Wolfsburg, the Association of Municipal Real Estate and Building Management Companies (VKIG) elected Dr. Christian Brinsa, Head of the Building Construction Division at the City of Wolfsburg, as its Chairman. He succeeds Petra Rinnenburger, who heads the building management department of the city of Cologne. Around 50 participants from the building industry and building construction offices in Germany have now met for various meetings.

The VKIG, with its 71 members, is the only specialized interest group representing the interests of municipal building management companies in Germany. It is responsible for the construction, renovation, maintenance and operation of all municipal buildings and special properties, from schools to fire stations, from town halls to accommodation for refugees, from daycare centers to sports halls.

The members represent municipalities with a total of around 12.7 million inhabitants in 6 state capitals, 61 cities and 4 districts from 13 federal states. "The intensive internal exchange and the joint external presence create considerable added value for the members in the increasingly complex and demanding tasks relating to municipal real estate," explained Dr. Christian Brinsa.
