Together with the adult education center, the Wolfsburg City Library forms the Bildungshaus, which is a hub in the network of Wolfsburg's educational landscape. In addition to its central library with children's and youth library, the city library with over 40 employees also has a decentralized presence at various locations and thus reaches people throughout the city. The city library is currently undergoing a restructuring process, which will focus more strongly on the target group of children and young people. Be part of the change and help shape it!

Your activities:

  • Lending service and customer service
  • Registering users, advising and supporting users on the many ways they can use our library
  • Media management (loans, returns, pre-orders, shelving and shelf control, stock maintenance and presentation)
  • Active and target group-oriented media placement
  • Collaboration in the planning and implementation of events, projects and guided tours for children, young people and adults

You bring with you:

  • Successfully completed vocational training as a specialist for media and information services, specializing in library services desirable
  • Confident use of MS Office programs, knowledge of "Bibliotheca" is desirable
  • Willingness to work regular Saturday shifts and to work flexibly at events
  • Strong customer and service orientation as well as target group-oriented communication skills
  • Interest in the diversity of the media world and working with modern information and communication technologies
  • Diligence, reliability and organizational skills
  • Enthusiasm to actively participate in change processes and the introduction of new services
  • Proof of measles immunity/vaccination
