Rent debt

Changes in life situations can lead to people getting into rent debt. Job loss, debt, personal burdens and many other causes can all lead to rent arrears:

  • evictions without notice
  • eviction proceedings
  • evictions
can occur.

The city of Wolfsburg has a comprehensive range of services for both tenants and landlords. We would be pleased to hear from you.

  • Information for tenants

Our specialist office can help you maintain your home.

    We support you with

    • Clarification of your financial situation
    • Clarification of claims to legal benefits
    • Discussions with landlords and authorities
We expect active cooperation with us so that we can find a solution that is good for all parties involved.

  • Information for landlords

Our most important goal is to avoid costly eviction suits and evictions.

We want to ensure that your tenant pays his rent regularly. To achieve this, a stable economic situation must be created with him. This enables him to settle rent debts himself or to achieve cost absorption by third parties.

  • Accommodation offer

If you have lost your home, we can provide you with emergency accommodation as a temporary solution.

We also offer the possibility of spending the night in the overnight shelter at Borsigstraße 29a in emergencies.

The daily opening hours of the overnight shelter are

    Summer half-year
    (01.April to 30.September)
    19:00 to 21:00

    Winter half-year
    (01.October to 31.March)
    17:00 to 21:00

If you are already homeless, we will actively help you to find ways out of homelessness.
